Step 1: Make the Dough 1. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, salt, and yeast. 2. Add warm water and olive oil. Mix until the dough starts to come together. 3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic. 4. Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover with a kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
Step 2: Prepare the Sauce 1. Heat olive oil in a small saucepan over medium heat. 2. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant. 3. Stir in crushed tomatoes, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes, then set aside.
Step 4: Bake the Pizza 1. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly and slightly browned. 2. Remove from the oven and let it cool for a couple of minutes.
